Alright, since my blog is dead , I have decided to work on my tumblr instead HAHA.  Let me tell you guys how good this drama is! Hint hint, ex-korean drama fans/non drama fans should give it a shot! Ok let me get this clear, the plot is totally Hana Kimi. Think I am speaking space language, go google Hana Kimi please. It is one of my, sad to say, guilty pleasures. End of story. Yes, even the great Chendemah also has her failings.

  Okay, now to the review: The plot is easily excitable by fan girls standards- you have hot guys(eye candy), nice costumes, swoon-worthy gestures and it did not have much of the heavy political gravity that swamped korean historical dramas. I am personally a fan of korean historical dramas as much as of china’s. I adore their costumes and their behaviour(so restrained yet so passionate). Okay, Chendemah sidetracking, back to the review. What really lifts this drama is they have interesting characters( yes, I mean the sweet candy-like four) and for the first time I appreciate each and everyone of them(like the principled main lead, the hurt and resentful female lead, the flirty flowerboy and the rebellious second male lead) and the historical setting and politics is a big boost, giving extra layers and tension.The supporting cast is great as well with the brattish lady( steal the show), the ajusshi father of the male lead and the teacher.This drama explored issues of class strife and corruption( an issue I always champion against) and the characters mirrored them. All these managed to lift this drama beyond a fan girl drama(YEAH TOTALLY). Although i agreed that this drama is too idealistic(in creating a new korea) and the ending is a tiny bit disappointing, who says our cruel world cannot do with a little sunshine and positivity? Also being the melodramatic me, I enjoyed the confrontations between the guys over intelligent issues(which is really rare), not STUPID ISSUES LIKE WHO IS GOING TO GET THE GIRL and the female lead is kick-ass worthy in the fact that she is witty( yes an intelligent woman is charming). Hearing them speak is listening to a song sometimes, so beautiful okay maybe I am exaggerating a little BUT STILL. The soundtrack is energising as well, hinting a nice kick off to the start of school. Oh damn, seldom did school looked so fun~
